FI has entered into a technical collaboration for providing measurement while drilling services with a leading MWD service provider. All aspects of MWD services, including directional, gamma and LWD (Resistivity, Porosity) can be provided.

Measurement-While-Drilling (MWD) systems measure formation properties (e.g., resistivity, natural gamma ray, porosity), wellbore geometry (inclination, azimuth), drilling system orientation (toolface), and mechanical properties of the drilling process.

Traditionally, MWD has paralleled and surpassed other aspects of drilling technology to the extent that it is now possible to replace very sophisticated Wireline logs with real-time and memory-stored measurements while drilling .

OFI has a technical collaboration for providing Directional Drilling Services in India. The mud motors used for directional drilling are out-sourced from leading international vendors.
